About Us
HMC International Div., Inc. was founded by Graham W. “Gray” Howard (1907–1995), a mechanical engineer whose career spanned from international projects in Central America and the West Indies to industrial work with Gates Rubber Company in Colorado.
In Littleton, Colorado, Howard applied his expertise to creating specialized mechanical instruments, pioneering the development of belt-tension testers and related devices that earned multiple U.S. patents. His focus on precision, reliability, and practical design laid the foundation for HMC International’s reputation.
Today, HMC International continues Howard’s legacy, delivering dependable, American-made instruments built on the same engineering ingenuity and commitment to quality that defined its founder.
